You've found the person with whom you want to spend the rest of your life. You've decided to make your wedding extra special and romantic by marrying in Maui's tropical paradise. Now the biggest decision probably facing you is whom you will choose to arrange this exceptional occasion. You may be asking yourself, '"What is the advantage of hiring a wedding coordinator to arrange my wedding?" First, we save you a lot of time in researching on your own. I have been arranging weddings, vow renewal ceremonies and commitment ceremonies for island visitors since 1985. Through my experience, I have found the most qualified and dependable vendors with which to work. They must receive my stamp of approval before they are hired, so you can be assured of qualified professionals who provide quality services. Second, we save you stress and worry over whether everything will go as planned. I confirm and reconfirm with my vendors, and we stay in contact through cell phones. You also have the convenience of working with only one person, rather than several. And third, my vendors are accustomed to working with one another, so we are familiar with one another's styles and modes of working. Your wedding will flow smoothly and as planned. Weddings are such an intimate and emotional time, so it's important that the people who are there to provide the services are not only professional, but also sensitive, caring and personable. I take care to hire professionals who are not only great at what they do, but who are people with heart, who will contribute to the loving energy of the occasion. The majority of our weddings consist of only the couple, with no guests, and our wedding couples appreciate the warmth and love that we bring to their wedding. We all leave feeling that we have made new friends. We love the work we do, and take pride in providing both the most personal and highest quality service possible. Our officiants offer meaningful, unique ceremonies, and the delivery of the ceremony is sincere and heartfelt. I enjoy organizing the services and working with you to create your wedding the way you envision it. I am also a professional wedding photographer and strive to capture the love and essence of this special occasion. We're committed to making your Maui wedding not only romantic and meaningful, but also fun and carefree. We welcome the opportunity to be of service to you on this most sacred of occasions. Customize Your Wedding WEDDING SERVICESOFFICIANT SERVICESIn Hawaii, in order for your marriage to be legal, the person who performs the ceremony must have a commission number issued by the State of Hawaii. This commission number is issued only to ministers, priests, rabbis, and judges. There is no Justice of the Peace in Hawaii. The officiant, sometimes referred to as the wedding celebrant or minister, contributes the most important elements to your wedding. The ceremony conveys the essence of your love and commitment, and should express your feelings for each other, and your intentions and wishes for your marriage Our staff non-denominational minister, or officiant, is Rev. Ron Lowery. He has been performing wedding ceremonies since 1985 and offers several different types of ceremonies, including civil, spiritual/romantic, Hawaiian, semi-religious and religious, or a combination of two. We will email a questionnaire that will enable Rev. Ron to personalize your ceremony and make it uniquely yours. His delivery of the ceremony is sincere and heartfelt. If you have a special request for a specific type of minister, such as a certain religion or Hawaiian, there will be an additional charge based on the number of calls it takes to secure the minister and the fee charged by the minister. There is no guarantee that we will be able to secure the minister of your choice; however, the service fee will still apply.
The officiant and coordinator fees are included in our basic wedding. Our consultation service includes offering recommendations for your wedding location, scheduling your marriage license appointment with an agent closest to your hotel, and a confirmation packet with the appropriate maps and helpful information. The basic wedding fee also includes an artist's print keepsake certificate completed in handwritten calligraphy with your names and wedding date. Witness to take photos or film video with your camera...$150 ON-SITE COORDINATORIf your wedding is very small, with few or no guests, an on-site coordinator is an unnecessary expense on your part. The photographer and minister are able to coordinate the couple for the ceremony. However, if you are having guests, there is a fee of $10 per guest for the cost of hiring a coordinator's assistant for larger parties or if there are any beverages or food being served, and to compensate for the photographer's extra time and energy. HAIR & MAKE-UPYou deserve to be Queen-for-the-day! Allow yourself to be pampered and indulged on your wedding day. A professional hairstylist will come to your room to style your hair and apply make-up professionally, and also help you get dressed. For best photography, it's highly recommended that you do something special with your hair and apply at least a little make-up, even if you normally don't wear it. Prices do not include gratuity. There may be a travel fee for West Maui resorts.
DOVE RELEASESince ancient times white doves or pigeons have been regarded as a symbol of love, peace and purity of heart. The release of white doves will add a very distinctive and memorable touch to your wedding. The doves are released from white wicker baskets decorated with tropical greenery.
BUTTERFLY RELEASEA butterfly release will add a touch of magic and romance to your wedding. The bride and groom, and guests, will make a wish as the butterflies are released from the elegant boxes. The butterflies flutter above the gathering for a few moments, sometimes landing on the leis and bouquet, before taking your wishes to the heavens. The butterflies are packaged in either one or two boxes. Inquire about individual boxes to be released by each guest.
LOCATIONSMaui abounds with beautiful tropical locations for your wedding. We will be happy to discuss the various sites with you. Your main decision will be whether you wish to be married on the beach or in a garden. We have other sites available which are not listed here, such as a gazebo overlooking the ocean or a pond, so please inquire. The best beaches for weddings are in the Wailea and Makena areas. There is almost always sunshine, lots of beautiful white sand beaches, and private oceanfront homes that allow weddings on their property for a fee. If you plan on having more than fifteen guests, please inquire about our other beachfront sites not listed here. If you opt for a public beach, we make every effort to select a beach that is somewhat private, fairly easy to access, and is unlikely to have other weddings going on at the same time. Wailea Ocean View Gazebo Makena Oceanfront Lawn & Waterfall Garden Courtyard Maui Tropical Gardens (currently unavailable) Tropical Gazebo Gardens Upcountry Botanical Gardens MUSICLive music contributes an added dimension of romance to your wedding. It's similar to the difference in watching a movie with music or without music. Music enhances the emotions of the occasion, and the emotions are what create the lasting memories. The Hawaiian guitarist usually opens with a love song to set the mood, sings the Hawaiian Wedding Song in the middle of the ceremony, and ends with an upbeat Hawaiian song. The harpist will play soft background music continuously for approximately one hour. You have your choice of guitar with vocals, instrumental guitar, harp, violin, flute, saxophone, or a harmonizing duet of violin & harp, flute & harp, flute & instrumental guitar, flute & violin, or violin & instrumental guitar.
PHOTOGRAPHYOur professional photographer combines several styles of photography, including creative, traditional, and photojournalistic, and strives to capture the love, romance and joy of the occasion. For a sample of Shasta's work go to www.photographybyshasta.com. Your digital images are taken with a Nikon D300 12 MP SLR camera, 18-200 Nikkor lens, and SB-800 speedlight. Approximately twice as many digital images are taken as are included in the package. Your images will be displayed in an online gallery for three months, which you can share with family and friends, and also order prints, enlargements, albums, coffee table books, art cards, greeting cards, and a DVD slideshow. The photo CD is available for purchase. Prices are for South, Central and Northeast Maui locations. A travel fee of $60 and up is charged for travel to other parts of the island.
VIDEOWhat better way to share your wonderful Maui wedding with loved ones who aren't able to attend than with a video? It's less expensive than an airline ticket! With the unedited version, you will receive exactly what's filmed as it happens. The studio-edited version includes your names and the date of your wedding, background music, and some outtakes of Maui's natural beauty, as well full coverage of the ceremony and romantic shots afterwards.
FLOWERSOur bouquets are made with a wide variety of fresh flowers. It is best if you decide first on the colors you want in your bouquet. Some nice color combinations are blue and lavender, lavender and pink, pink and yellow, or red, yellow and purple. In our standard bouquets, the types of flowers are left up to our florist. If you would like to request specific flowers for your bouquet, that would be considered a Specialty bouquet subject to individual quote. Please inquire for larger bouquets. If you want a special wedding lei, then you may opt for the deliciously fragrant pikake (jasmine) lei for the bride and the maile (mildly fragrant leaf) lei for the groom. Pikake is the "flower of love" and maile is the traditional Hawaiian wedding lei. Pikake is seasonal, so at times may be substituted with a comparable lei.
FORMAL WEARWe offer for rent the Traditional Black Classic Tuxedo in two styles: Single Breasted Notch, and Single Breasted Shawl, both with a one-button closure. Shoes, tie, and cummerbund are included. A wide selection of Ascot brand tuxedos is also available by special order.

SPARLKING CIDER TOASTDue to the liquor laws, we are unable to provide or serve any alcoholic beverages. You may, however, bring your own champagne. The chilled cider is served by your own personal server. You may purchase the toasting glasses to have as a keepsake, or we will provide a set for your use. The etched glasses are personalized with your names and wedding date, along with an etching of a palm tree and couple silhouetted against the setting sun.
WEDDING CAKEOur wedding cakes are made from the freshest ingredients by a professional bakery. Please note that there is a cake set-up and service fee as well as a per guest fee. The set-up fee includes the table, tablecloth, cake knife & server, napkins, plates and forks, and varies depending upon location and number of guests. Service includes your own private server to set-up, serve and clean-up. You will have your choice of cake flavor and filling. Traditional decorating is included, while special decorating is by quote. Fresh flower decorations range from $15 to $60.
PRIVATE GOURMET DINNERA most romantic way to top off your Hawaiian wedding is to treat yourselves to a privately catered dinner, on the beach, overlooking the ocean, underneath a canopy of stars. Your private chef prepares your gourmet meal right before your eyes, and serves you at your oceanside table complete with linens, china, and tiki torches. We will send you a menu from which to select the courses. A complimentary bottle of wine or champagne is included for every two people. Gratuity of 20% is included in the price.
THE LABYRINTH WEDDINGFor those who wish to have a uniquely different wedding, while accentuating the spiritual aspect of the marriage ritual, we offer the labyrinth wedding. While the labyrinth has been around for centuries, it has only recently been introduced to wedding ceremonies. We offer an oceanfront labyrinth in Kapalua, or a garden labyrinth in Haiku. The labyrinth is an ancient pattern that has been used for centuries as a tool for self-discovery. The design looks much like a maze, however it differs in that it has no dead ends or tricks. The labyrinth has a single path into the center and the same path returns back out. These patterns have been found in cathedral floors throughout Europe, where they have been used for centuries as a walking meditation. Variations of the design have been found throughout the world. Regardless of the culture, the use always traces to a connection with Spirit, invoking mystical assistance with an endeavor that is about to be embarked. Throughout time, people have journeyed outward on pilgrimages to sacred places as an offering to the Divine. In the 12th century, the crusades came through the land making it unsafe for the pilgrims to take their journey. At that time, the pattern of the labyrinths were walked, within the safe confines of the church, as a metaphorical pilgrimage and walking meditation. The walk to the center represents a time of Releasing, the center represents Illumination, and the walk back out reflects the Union with the Divine, returning out into the world to take action from the new perspective, or birth, of the individual. The symbolism of the labyrinth lends itself beautifully to the marriage ceremony. Metaphorical of a pilgrimage to a sacred place, the journey into the center is a time for letting go of the past in preparation for what is to come. The bride and groom walk into the labyrinth individually, affording you time to become self-observant, to release any past obstacles that may be in your way, and to become fully present and centered by the time you reach the sacred space of the labyrinth's center. Met there by the wedding officiant, the center represents the sacred ground of the heart. Here the ceremony, which is written specifically for the labyrinth wedding, takes place as the two of you join your lives through the ritual of exchanging vows. At the completion of the ceremony, you will join hands and either follow the same path back out, or together create a new path that spirals you back out of the labyrinth. This part of the experience represents the Union, where you emerge from the labyrinth, beg inning a new aspect of your journey together as husband and wife. You carry with you the blessings of the Divine to guide you on your way. Your wedding officiant for the labyrinth wedding will be Eve Eschner Hogan, M.A., D.D., educator, inspirational speaker, and author of Intellectual Foreplay: Making the Right Choice and Being the Right Choice in Relationships. Eve is the owner and founder of Wings To Wisdom: Tools for Self-Mastery, specializing in self-esteem enhancement for the individual, the family, the workplace and personal relationships. She has studied extensively about the history and meaning of the labyrinth since her first workshop taken in 1996 under Rev. Lauren Artress at the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. Eve has been facilitating labyrinth workshops for the past two years. The labyrinth wedding includes: wedding officiant, consultation & coordination, special labyrinth ceremony, keepsake certificate with handwritten calligraphy, Kapalua oceanfront labyrinth OR Haiku private garden labyrinth location $675 TO RESERVE YOUR WEDDINGIt is actually much easier to reserve a long-distance wedding than you might think.
