Our bouquets are made with a variety of fresh flowers.
It is best if you decide first on the colors you want in your
bouquet. Some
nice color combinations are blue and lavender, lavender and pink,
or pink and yellow; or for something bright and tropical, red,
yellow and purple. In our standard bouquets, the types of flowers
used are in-season and do not require special order. Some of our
standard flowers are: roses (mixed with other flowers), orchids,
delphinium, mini calla lilies (if in season, mixed with other
flowers), lilies, Gerber daisies, hydrangea, and iris. If you
would like to request any flowers not listed, seasonal flowers,
or a bouquet of all one flower, this would be considered a Specialty
bouquet and subject to individual quote.
If you want a really special weding lei, then you may opt for
the deliciously fragrant pikake (jasmine) lei for the bride and
the maile (mildly fragrant leaf) lei for the groom. Pikake is
the "flower of love" and maile is the traditional Hawaiian wedding
lei. Pikake is seasonal, so at times may be substituted with a
comparable lei.
The traditional haku head wreath worn by the bride will dry well
as a keepsake. Flowers and foliage are woven together to create
a beautiful haku head lei (or haku ankle lei) that has been worn
by Hawaiian women for centuries. It is a beautiful addition to
any style of dress. The haku differs from the head or ankle lei,
which are flowers strung together on a string like the neck lei.
A $10 delivery charge will be added to flower orders
for custom weddings.
